The months leading up to the birth are filled with both exhilarating excitement and perhaps a little anxiety. Those first few days after your newborn's arrival into the world are overwhelming with tangible joy and intimate connection.
The way her little fingers start to grasp around your pinky, and his cloudy little stare up as he pieces together the voice, warmth and connection he's always known with the figures whom he trusts and loves unconditionally-

Once you reach your second trimester is the perfect time to reach out.
The best time to have your maternity session is within your third trimester somewhere between 31-34 weeks. This will ensure that photos can capture your beautiful baby bump, but not be too late that if your little one is born early we're not without these photos, nor is it too difficult for you to move around.

I only take a limited number of newborn sessions per every 30 days of expected due date since I will block off a few dates and times in that span to schedule your session once your little one is born. The best time to have your newborn session is 5-14 days after birth.

A newborn will affect dynamics for the entire household- parents, siblings, and furry friends included. Because in every way things about to change for everyone, I highly recommend both parents and siblings (if applicable) be included in your session.
If you are having a newborn lifestyle session in your home and have a gentle furry friend you'd like involved in a small way, we can also make this happen.
(As an animal lover myself I can promise you your little one will want to see as many photos of themselves with their childhood furry friend as possible).

I will help you prep for your maternity session; once we have your location & date set, I'll ask that you gather a long a few keepsakes that we can use as props for your session. These will include items like an ultrasound photo a pair of baby shoes, and a baby book.
I capture Lifestyle Newborn Photos with an option to upgrade and include posed newborn photos (read what the difference is below).
These sessions are best when they occur in the comfort of your own home. I recommend using a room with windows, the nursery, your bedroom, living room, or any larger spaces with windows that let in lots of natural light.
I 100% understand that this entire season will be filled with lots of uncertainty, and probably a bit of chaos- and it is completely normal for that to be reflected in your home. No need to clean your entire home- just declutter and remove everything from the corners and spaces you'd like photographed.
I'll help you prepare and send you a more thorough guide prior to your session, but you'll want to have along a cute outfit (or two) for your little one ready to go along with a neutral wrap that won't distract from your new little one.
Additionally, you'll want to make sure your home is a comfortable warm temperature, and have extra nappies, wipes, and baby shusher on hand nearby.

I prioritise delivering photos based on connection. This will mean snuggles and cuddles and kisses and holding your new little one from all angles and perspectives.
We can even place him/her on a cute rug or blanket for a few photos of just them, and I'll make sure to photograph details like their cute little ears, and fingers, and toes.
If you would like a certain kind of item, or particular wrap to be used, you must provide your own.
*A FEW- newborn posing can take a very long time and requires a perfectly sleepy and content newborn. If you would like an extended posed newborn session with different poses; please look for another photographer as it would be impossible to have both quality lifestyle and quality posed newborn photos take place within 1 hour.

I shoot with professional gear, and have backups upon backups. I have 3 dual slot, full frame, mirrorless cameras. This means that each camera backs up every shot to two different places. This means I get to use different lenses to get variety in all your shots.
The FIRST thing I do after your session is back every single one of your photos up to multiple different locations, including the cloud.
I've already captured beautiful photos in the harshest conditions, so you know you'll be getting consistent, reliable quality.
