A wedding at Swaneset Bay Resort & Country Club is the perfect venue for you if saying your “I Do’s” at a castle-esque resort in the mountains sounds like a fairy tale come true. (Also scroll to the bottom for my Dr Suess themed poem for why you should have Swaneset Bay be your Wedding Venue).
When E&B told me their wedding would be at Swaneset Bay Resort & Country Club- I began googling, instagram hashtag stalking, and visited it myself (it’s free to go check it out!) It’s a hidden gem in the Fraser Valley. The property is massive, but there’s definitely some tips (I’ll include some below) to know before you have your Wedding there.
There’s a few different spots to have your ceremony; the ballroom (a great backup for rain!), the terrace overlooking the mountain view (first picture), and the lawn patio beneath a tree (this is where E&B got married!)
The Ballroom (great for receptions) is massive and can seat hundreds of guests. There are many beautiful windows so we had great lighting up until dusk.
It was bright and hot even though E&B’s Wedding day was mid May. Thankfully there’s shade beneath the tree on the lawn patio for the bridal party to stay cool. Fans for all your guests are a thoughtful touch during the ceremony if you’re choosing the lawn patio! (Useful wedding favours anyone? Check out my favourite from etsy in the link below!)

The resort has beautiful getting ready areas for both bride & groom, multiple ceremony locations to choose from (including a backdrop for rain), amazing catering, and a beautiful place for your reception and dance floor. It’s also only minutes from my favourite spot for mountain/lake backdrops where we went for E&B’s first look before the ceremony.
For getting ready, the girls sweet has a raised platform (pictured above), with a few seating options and many mirrors. Because of all the mirrors, try to keep all the belongs together in one corner. There’s also a bridal washroom right outside the door which is usually exclusively for the Bride + bridesmaids.
For getting ready, the groom and groomsmen have access to a large room with a curtained off changing section, large windows, and a seating area to relax prior to the ceremony. Because of all the windows, there’s lots of natural light to work with.
We didn’t have time to take photos at all the spots Swansea had to offer, but below are just a few I loved! What more convincing do you need? Reach out in the link below to book your Wedding at Swaneset Bay Resort & Country Club.(Once you’re booked there, circle back here to inquire with me!)
Could you, would you, in a gown so grand,
Tie the knot at this castle, joined hand in hand?
With towers that rise and views that gleam,
Step down the grand stairs, like storybook dream.
Could you, would you, say "I do" here,
Where the air is filled with love and cheer?
Beneath chandeliers that twinkle bright,
And dance the night away, all feels just right.
So could you, would you, in this place so fine,
Make it yours, and let love shine?
And as you plan this magical chapter,
Could you, would you book me as your wedding photographer?
