If you’re dreaming of a wedding with a mix of rustic charm and vintage elegance, you’re in the right spot! Having photographed three weddings at Estate 248, I’ll share what makes this venue special and why it might be perfect for you.
One of the highlights of an Estate 248 wedding is its getting-ready cottage. This space is ideal for getting ready photos, with multiple rooms and a lovely covered porch. The cottage features charming vintage pink rooms with multiple getting ready stations for you and your entire bridal party. There’s lots of perfect places to hang your dress for some beautiful dress spots as well! Although it doesn’t have air conditioning, bringing a portable ac unit can help keep everyone cool and refreshed on hot days.
For grooms, it’s best to prepare offsite, as Estate 248 doesn’t have specific spaces for the groom and his party.
I recommend finding a nearby location with enough room and comfort to get ready for the big day.
Grooms and groomsmen will often hang out together in the cocktail barn prior to the ceremony, which can work as a space for a few “pretend” getting ready photos as well.
Estate 248 offers two great options for your ceremony: the rustic barn or the lawn. Here’s a quick rundown of each to help you decide:
Rustic Barn:
Lawn:
One of the weddings I shot at Estate 248 was scheduled for the lawn had last minute heavy rain. Thankfully the Bridal couple had impeccable attitudes about the weather and they toughed out the ceremony and portraits and embraced the rain as a part of their Wedding story. If you’re looking for tips on how to make the most about rainy wedding days, see my instagram post about it here;
Estate 248 also has a few great spots for bridal & bridal party portraits. There’s the traditional lawn with trees as a backdrop, as well as a tall grassy area which is beautiful during golden hour.
After the ceremony, enjoy cocktail hour playing lawn games with your guests, and snack on hors d’oeuvres until dinner in the cocktail barn. Following cocktail hour, the reception tent is perfect for dinner and speeches.
For dancing, you have two options to choose from: the cocktail barn or a cozy area beside the tent near the bar.
When you book Estate 248, a Day-Of Coordinator will be available to handle basic tasks like keeping things on schedule and coordinating with the catering staff. However, I always recommend to all my couples to either hire their own Wedding Planner or designate a family member to oversee all the details. This way, you can enjoy your wedding day without worrying about any last-minute concerns that only someone who knows most of the people there can help with.
Estate 248 Weddings offer a custom blend of rustic charm and vintage elegance that makes it a wonderful choice for any couple. With its versatile ceremony, reception, and dance floor options, along with charming getting ready spaces, it’s a venue that fits can suite any preference,
